The B.Ed. Course being run at Maruti Nandan College is of 2 years of duration. After study, training and successfully passing the exam the students are awarded the degree of B.Ed. During the whole course duration the student has to have attendance in the College for 200 working days before becoming eligible for the examination.

In the College the student has to study for minimum 36 hours Per week and other working hours are devoted for physical education, yoga, dance and drawing as extra curricular activity as per the guide is instructions. Student has to have 80% compulsory attendance in class room study and 90% attendance in practical/ internship.

After completion of the B.Ed (4 semesters) course the student will be eligible to become a teacher in upper primary, secondary and higher secondary sections of any school.

Admission Process

The maximum number of students being admitted in one class of B.Ed is 50 and there are two such classes per annum thereby making the total intake as 100 students. At any given point of time there are 200 students in the College. (100 students in the FY B.Ed and 100 students in the S.Y. B.Ed). The Transwad College is affiliated to N.C.T.E and reuns the B.Ed program under the aegis of Hemandracharya Uttar Gujarat University.

The students wishing to pursue B.Ed Course must be a graduate or post graduate with minimum 50% marks. And as per the rules of Government of Gujarat & Central Government the reservation as per applicable norms is provided to S.C/ S.T/ O.B.C and P.W.D candidates. The candidates coming under other reservation quota are given 5% reservation in the total intake of the students. The admission process is governed by the percentage received and applicable rules and regulations of Hemendracharya Uttar Gujarat University and Central Government.

The quota for admission is 85% from government quota and 15 % from management quota. Further, the S.C. / S.T. / and financially backward candidates are eligible for scholarships.
